Looking for an Open Door

She was tired of knocking
she felt as if God ignored all her prayers
all her pleading, all her begging


What kind of God would let this happen to me? she thought
Pay them back Lord, pay them back
I hate them!"

Her family was rude, wicked and cruel
they tormented her for no reason on end
She wanted a way out- a new life- just one day of peace
that's all she was asking for

She found herself mad at God- furious.
She just wanted to shake her fists at him.
How unfair you are!

But in the back of her mind she knew that He was a faithful God
She knew that He had a plan for her life--He had told her many years before
but she was finding it hard to wait on Him
She wanted freedom, wanted to feel joy
She hadn't smiled in so long

But she knew with each passing day, that she wasn't alone
God would deliver her and give her the open door to freedom

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7
